There are 2 things we need to look at:
- Not to count public holiday in the count of absences.
- Consider public holiday so that the count of unpaid absences get reduced by the given no. of days for payroll.
For the first scenario, go to TCode SM30 > T556C and select your counting rule for the absence and ensure that Day Type 1 is not checked. This will ensure that public holiday doesn't get counted in the list of absences.
For the second scenario, find the absence valuation rule for the given absence from TCode SM30 > T554S. After finding the absence valuation rule, go to TCode SM30 > V_T554C and enter absence valuation grouping and absence valuation rule. You will find a column called Day Rule. Select 01 in the day rule. This will ensure that the absence valuation rule gets counted only for working days only.
