am thinking this is the correct way ,

I tried to use the function as you suggest , what happen then is no data will come in the report ,

so am suspect that i may had some mistake in the function syntax ,

here is the formula I have :

{Command.Invoice Date} in {?Date} to {?To Date} and

{Command.SeriesName} = {?Department} and

{Command.DocNum} = {?DOCUMENT NO} and

{Command.SlpName} = {?Sales Emploee}

if you can give me an example of  any of the parameter so I can understand better ,

what I did is using if hasvale ( {?Date},{?To Date} ) then {Command.Invoice Date} in {?Date} to {?To Date}
